Bryan Eng

Bryan Eng is an R&B/Experimental Electric Bassist from Southern Maryland. His interest in music began at age 13, while becoming interested in guitar, bought a bass on a whim. His passion for music grew, and soon was directed to world renowned bass instructor Anthony Wellington. In a few years, Bryan was gigging in the Annapolis and Baltimore area with local rock band “Choice”. Upon disbanding, Bryan continued his musical studies in college for several years, focusing on theory, and developing his technique.

He has been influenced by bassists such as Flea, Victor Wooten, James Jamerson, Jaco Pastorius, etc. Bryan has developed a “groove” oriented style of playing while incorporating melodic bass lines because of his heavy funk influences. Bryan has drawn influence from nearly every aspect of his life and continues to develop his own unique sound and style of play.
